The Tables:

American casinos use two different types of tables: the standard roulete and the double-end table. Standard tables have the wheel placed at one end, whereas double-end tables have two betting layouts with the wheel situated between them in the center. Rulet Balls:

The balls used are generally made from synthetic plastic or ivory. Average size is ½ inch to ¾ inch in diameter.

Roulette Wheels:

This bet lets you predict whether you think the next number to come up will be part of the range from 1 to 18, or part of the range from 19 to 36. This is an even money bet. To place this bet put your chips in the boxes with the associated number range printed in them.

Columns:

The American and French wheels are the two different wheel styles used today. The American wheel contains the 0 and 00 options in addition to 36 numbers. The French, or what is commonly called the European wheel, also has 36 numbers with the exception of the double 00. The difference between the two affects the probability of the outcome. The wheel itself is movable and spun manually by the croupier.
